Background:
Wendy learned attention to detail and tailoring from both Grandmothers. She started out crafting a complete doll wardrobe, and by age 10 was making her own garments. Past vocations include creating collectible panda bears, competition ballroom dancing gowns, turn-of-the-century theatrical costumes, late 1700’s living-history clothing, and owner/designer of Wesser Sports active-wear.

Education:
Wendy trained at the Custom Home Furnishings Academy in Charlotte, NC, the only hands-on school of its kind in the USA. Her certifications include: Basic and Advanced Window Treatments and Cornices, High-end Manufacturing Techniques, Professional & Advanced Installation Techniques.

Always hungry for knowledge, Wendy attends continuing education sessions, looking for cutting-edge techniques and styles. The study of historical garments led to an avid interest in period window treatments. Valuable information on historical textiles and household décor is acquired from fellow members of Costume Society of America who are in the museum and academic fields.

Skills:
Having an ability to utilize both left-brain and right-brain, Wendy has an analytical mind for calculating details of ornate designs. She also has an eye for proportion, as well as color balance and play. With attention to detail and stylish taste, Wendy thrives on producing unique and innovative treatments for her clients.
